Notices to Mariners
Stephen Firth tells me that Associated British ports will no longer be sending out "Notices to Mariners" by post. So to see then either get on their email list or visit their website. Steve will also be putting the notices up in the club.

Volunteer OOD Required
From time to time I have spare OOD duties available. I will post details of these in the member’s forum web page. Log on and volunteer. To access these pages you will need a password from Chris Harris.

Volunteering for OOD duties is a good way to help the club, complete your work hours and justify spending more time in the bar.

Please, please, please
If you are organising any event for the club, social, sailing or housekeeping please let me know so that I can add it to the What's On pages. Better still ask me for a password so that you can put the notice on yourself, and amend it when neccessary.

If the event is open to members from other clubs please let me know and I will also add it to Bristol Channel Events.

The compliments of the season to you all.

Chris

Vince Edwards
I would like to thank Vince Edwards for sending me some excellent photographs of our members boats, these can be seen on our Photo Gallery pages. James Or, Ron Paraman and Louise Taylor have also sent in some excellent photographs. How about some contributions from the rest of you? Please email me if you are unsure of how to send them, please keep file sizes down if you are sending them as attachment to an email as I haven't got broadband!

Also if you are organising any club events (quiz night?) please add the details to the What's On Section, or email me with details. Thanks

www.nusc.co.uk is live!
As you well know if you are reading this, our club website is live, if not quite complete. To help counter any complaints that the site will not be kept up to date I have added features that allow other members, with internet access, to contribute on a day to day basis.

For instance if you are organising an event, please add it online to the What's On listing. It will stay there until the date of the event and will then be automatically removed. Or you can delete it using your password. (shortly you will be able to edit it online.)

Club news and notices can be added online also. To stop possible trouble both these features will require a registered password, please email me, maybe with your choice of password.

Anyone can place adverts in the FREE ADS section. You may have something you want to buy or sell, or you may be looking for crew, or for another boat to join you in a cruise. Please give it a try!

Meanwhile I do require more information to complete the site. If you can help please email me. You will spot the gaps in the content, I particularly want good pilotage information for visitors sailing into Newport, (maybe with a sketch chart), a list of former commodores, and lots of good photographs, of around the club and of our boats cruising elsewhere.

Please help, and email me with any comments.
