Jane, and her husband the late Peter, Cumberlidge collaborated on the first edition of the Bristol Channel and Severn Cruising Guide, and members of clubs provided photos for illustrations.
Jane Cumberlidge is editing a new edition of the Bristol Channel & Severn Cruising Guide, and asked if she could have sunny, active photos showing our members enjoying boating to illustrate the Newport chapter.
The images of the recent Cardiff Cruise with Newport landmarks and the well attended race starts – which I think would be suitable. Of course Flying Fifteens are so pretty they should be included!
If you can send Jane the highest resolution versions of any pictures you have she’d appreciate that, and boost the profile of the club.
There’s no payment, but the photographer’s name is printed in the ‘acknowledgements’ and captions. The photographer retains copyright control of any pictures used.
Ideally images should be as high as resolution as possible but dramatic images from mobile phones may still be usable if in high enough resolution.
