A rescheduled VHF radio course will now be running at NUSC on the 10 and 11th of February 24. £60 plus £70 for VHF licence. There are just two places left so please email Malcolm Broad at blueline@talk21.com asap to secure your place.
Celtic Sea Watersports are running an RYA Safety boat course. This is ideal to assist active volunteers within your club and those wishing looking to lean in and volunteer at RYA CW events so please spread the word.
It’s a two day course you have to be a minimum of 16 years old and possess the PB 2 qualification. Details about the course can be found here rya.org.uk/training/courses/Safety-Boat-Course-PSBC
Theres a maximum of 6 places on each course and the dates offered are weekend 27th/28th January 2024 and Half term Mon/ Tues 12th/13th February, 2024. Maritime Heritage Centre, Llanion Cove – Pembrokeshire Activity Centre and Pembroke Haven Yacht Club are hosting an evening with Tom Cunliffe on March 9th 2024 tickets are just £25 per person.

There is also a shore based Navigation refresher evening on Thursday 7th March @ Mumbles YC : Ceri Davies of Swansea Watersports will be leading a structured training evening to refresh our knowledge of digital navigation, using a GPS for waypoints and routes etc. You will be taught in 3 groups of 4 people with a staggered start: the first session is a stepping stone to go to session 2 and likewise from 2 – 3 etc. Evening starts at 6pm. We can allocate exact individual timings for each topic once you have booked in. The bar will be open and Chai will be serving food. Cost £10 a head.
