RYA Courses at NUSC
We host courses for our members and invite participation from outside of the club to attend. These courses include:

- RYA Day Skipper Theory classes
- VHF DSC Short Range Certificate
- RYA Yacht master
To register interest for these courses please use the expression of interest form. When dates are determined we will let you know.
RYA YACHT MASTER THEORY COURSE
The 6 day RYA Yacht Master course is the ultimate aim of many skippers, both professional and recreational.
Day skipper is the entry requirement.
RYA DAY SKIPPER THEORY COURSE
The 5 day RYA Day Skipper course is designed to provide sufficient knowledge for daytime coastal cruising and is an ideal entry level qualification as well as a good way to brush up your knowledge or providing the foundations to move on to Yachtmaster.
VHF DSC SHORT RANGE RADIO CERTIFICATE
The 2 day VHF DSC Short Range Certificate is required to operate maritime VHF radio sets, including portable equipment. (also to upgrade existing VHF only licences).
