Rules of the auction
CAVEAT EMPTOR – all lots will be brought under the advice of CAVEAT EMPTOR, the principle that the buyer alone is responsible for checking the quality and suitability of goods before a purchase is made.
Bidding – by raising you hand.
Finalisation of bid – There will be 2 warnings before accepting the final highest bid.
Payment – Only at the end of the auction can items be paid for in cash or cheque or electronically (BACS), no card payments. All items need to be paid for and collected on the night. Cash preference.
Ownership – NUSC will not take responsible for items sold. Ownership of the lots has been negotiated by NUSC with the previous owners, but if any doubts exist over ownership, the passing of ownership will follow the rules of an open market.
Non-attending Bids – NUSC members can email bids for lots before midday on Tuesday the 27th of June to nigel@njstudio.co.uk. You need to identify the item by its lot number and indicate your starting bid and maximum bid. You will receive a confirmation email of your bids being accepted. The organisers will do their best to make your bid on the night but cannot guarantee it will occur. Payment and collection, must be made for any item you are successful in bidding on within 24 hours after receiving your winning bid email.
